Job Overview
The Hydropower Plant Technician will play a critical role in the daily operations and maintenance of our hydroelectric facilities in Neno. This position is essential for ensuring the continuous and efficient generation of electricity to support the local and regional power grid. You will be responsible for monitoring turbine performance, conducting routine inspections, and performing necessary repairs to prevent downtime. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on turbines, generators, and control systems.
- Monitor water flow levels and electrical output to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical or electrical faults in the system.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement upgrades and system improvements.
- Ensure all operations comply with strict environmental and safety regulations.

- Advanced proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of hydroelectric turbine mechanics and control systems.

Education
A minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Certification in specialized hydropower systems is highly advantageous.
Experience
Candidates must possess between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial plant maintenance, specifically within a power generation or heavy utility environment. Experience with large-scale rotating machinery is preferred.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical certifications.
