Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Maintenance Manager to lead our technical operations in Blantyre. This critical role involves overseeing complex engine maintenance schedules, ensuring strict adherence to international safety standards, and managing a team of specialized technicians. This job vacancy in Malawi is designed for a leader who understands the intricacies of high-performance propulsion systems and can manage large-scale maintenance projects within a high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aircraft engine maintenance and repair operations to ensure maximum fleet availability.
- Implement and monitor rigorous quality control protocols in compliance with international aviation regulations.
- Manage technical documentation and maintenance logs to ensure 100% audit readiness.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of aviation engineers and technicians.
- Optimize maintenance workflows to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with global supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of critical spare parts.
Required Skills
- Advanced expertise in aero-engine maintenance and diagnostic procedures.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities in a technical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of EASA and FAA safety regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for complex mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Professional certification in aviation maintenance management is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Proven experience working with high-performance turbine engines is essential for this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,500,000 SSP to 6,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical certifications.
