Moses holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences Education, with a specialisation in Statistics and Computing, from the University of Malawi – Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), which he completed over the period 2018 to 2022. The programme combined quantitative and technical training, with relevant coursework in Mathematical Statistics, Data Analysis, Research Methods, Database Management, Computer Programming, Web Programming and Computer Networking — a foundation that directly underpins his current work in statistical analysis, digital data collection and database management within MEAL practice. Want this written into the document in place of the current bulleted-style entry, or kept as-is? a description of my work experience Moses has served as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at the Agricultural Commodity Exchange for Africa (ACE) since January 2023, supporting donor-funded agriculture and food security programmes in Malawi. In this role he develops indicators, logical frameworks and reporting tools aligned to donor requirements, and designs and manages digital data collection systems built on KoBoToolbox, ODK, CommCare and Google Forms. He coordinates baseline, midline and endline surveys end to end — questionnaire development, sampling and field implementation — and safeguards data integrity through Data Quality Assessments, verification exercises and routine field monitoring visits. He cleans, validates, analyses and interprets both quantitative and qualitative datasets using Excel, Power BI, Python, SPSS, STATA and R, translating the results into interactive dashboards, visualisations and periodic reports for AGRA, FCDO, CIP, Welthungerhilfe and the Government of Flanders. Alongside the technical work he facilitates learning reviews and reflection meetings, trains programme staff, enumerators and partners on MEAL systems, and works with district councils, government departments, NGOs and community structures to strengthen programme monitoring. His measurable contributions include leading the rollout of KoBoToolbox and ODK across multiple districts, which cut data entry errors by 65% and eliminated paper-based submissions; reducing quarterly reporting turnaround from ten days to six through standardized templates and automated report production; training more than 40 staff, enumerators and partner organizations on digital data collection and monitoring systems; and building automated Power BI dashboards that gave programme and donor teams real-time access to indicator data in place of manual monthly data requests.
