The Bachelor of Science in Water Quality Management at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a four-year degree program designed to train professionals in assessing, protecting, and managing vital water resources. Offered through the Ndata School of Climate and Earth Sciences, the curriculum combines foundational sciences like chemistry and hydrology with applied skills in water treatment technologies, environmental impact assessment, GIS, and water governance. By addressing pressing issues such as climate change, industrial pollution, and sanitation, the program equips graduates to work as water quality analysts, environmental consultants, and WASH experts in government agencies, water utilities, and international development organizations.
Work & Experience
•Physical, Chemical and Bacteriological water quality analysis for drinking water, waste water e.t.c •Device calibration (ec meter, DO meter, ph meter, frame photometer, uv vis spectrophotometer) •Reagents preparation for various chemical analysis •Soil and plants sample extraction and analysis (Acid digestion for soil) •Water quality monitoring and assessment for surface and ground water. •Sample collection of water for Bacteriological, Physical and Chemical Analysis •Data collection using mwater
