Job Overview
The Geospatial Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in collecting, processing, and visualizing spatial data that supports client projects and internal product development. This position involves working with ArcGIS tools, Python scripting, and database management to ensure high‑quality geospatial datasets. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and integrate spatial data from satellite imagery, GPS surveys, and third‑party sources.
- Develop and maintain geodatabases using ArcGIS Enterprise and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- Perform spatial analysis, including overlay, network, and suitability modeling, to support client objectives.
- Create interactive web maps and dashboards using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Experience Builder.
- Write Python scripts and ModelBuilder workflows to automate data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers to define data requirements and deliverables.
- Produce technical documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata records adhering to ISO 19115 standards.
- Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders through clear visualizations and concise reports.
- Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and best practices, recommending improvements to existing workflows.
- Support training sessions for junior analysts and client staff on GIS tools and data interpretation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
- Strong experience with Python (ArcPy) and SQL for spatial data manipulation.
- Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and image classification.
- Ability to design and manage relational geodatabases.
