Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to join our growing product team in Blantyre. This role is critical to our mission of creating intuitive, beautiful, and highly functional digital interfaces. As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end user experience, from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive user research and stakeholder interviews to define user needs and pain points.
- Create detailed user personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide the design process.
- Develop low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes for complex digital workflows.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure design fidelity during the implementation phase.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive design systems to ensure consistency across all product modules.
- Perform rigorous usability testing and iterate on designs based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture within the Blantyre office.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple, intuitive user interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills to present design decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to design iteration.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a specialized design field is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, specifically working on complex software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms or mobile applications. A strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centered design processes is mandatory.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 2,500,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This competitive package reflects the high level of skill required for this role.
