Job Overview

The Brand Activation Manager will spearhead the creation and execution of immersive brand experiences that resonate with Malawian consumers. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design activation campaigns, events, and digital engagements that elevate Heineken’s market presence. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated brand activation plans aligned with annual marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate and execute on‑ground events, sampling programs, and experiential marketing activities across Kasungu and surrounding regions.
  • Partner with the digital team to create online activation content, leveraging social media, influencer collaborations, and emerging technologies.
  • Manage activation budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost‑effective delivery of high‑impact experiences.
  • Analyze activation performance metrics, consumer feedback, and sales data to optimize future campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales, trade, and product development teams to ensure activation initiatives support distribution and product launch goals.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and Heineken’s responsible drinking policies.

Required Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking with a proven ability to translate brand concepts into experiential activations.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creative storytelling and visual communication expertise.
  • Proficiency in budget management and vendor negotiation.
  • Data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Chichewa is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in brand management, digital marketing, or event management are considered a plus.

Experience

Minimum of five years’ experience in brand activation, experiential marketing, or consumer engagement within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Prior experience in the beverage industry or with multinational brands is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. The package includes performance‑based incentives, health benefits, and a retirement savings scheme.
