Job Overview
The Automotive Service Manager will lead the Service Operations department at the Nsanje service centre, overseeing daily workshop activities, ensuring high standards of vehicle maintenance, and driving customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all service technicians, ensuring adherence to Toyota service standards and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement efficient workshop schedules, managing workload to maximise productivity and minimise vehicle turnaround time.
- Monitor parts inventory, coordinate with the parts department, and ensure timely availability of genuine Toyota components.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, delivering prompt resolutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage the service centre budget, controlling costs while achieving revenue targets.
- Analyse service performance metrics, generate reports, and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Lead recruitment, training and performance appraisal of service staff.
- Promote Toyota’s service promotions, warranty programmes and after‑sales initiatives to increase market share.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and expansion projects within the region.

Education

Applicants must possess a minimum of five years of progressive experience in automotive service management, preferably within a multi‑brand dealership or a high‑volume service centre. Experience in the Malawian automotive market or similar emerging markets will be considered an advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 2,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based incentives, health insurance, pension contributions and other statutory benefits.
