Job Overview
The E-commerce Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end operational strategy for Jumia Malawi, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery logistics. Reporting to the Head of Regional Operations, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize processes, enhance customer experience, and drive scalability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational policies that align with Jumia’s global standards and local market needs.
- Oversee daily order processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with quality standards.
- Manage relationships with third‑party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
- Coordinate inventory planning, stock replenishment, and warehouse layout to minimize stock‑outs and excess.
- Lead a team of operations supervisors, warehouse staff, and delivery coordinators, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Analyze operational metrics, generate reports, and propose data‑driven improvements to boost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service department to resolve fulfillment issues and enhance the overall customer journey.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and corporate governance policies.

Education

Applicants should have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in e‑commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast‑growing online retail environment. Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing third‑party logistics partners is essential.
Salary
