Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessment projects for clients across banking, mining, agriculture, energy, telecom and other sectors.
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies and controls tailored to client needs.
  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory compliance, internal audit processes and governance structures.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables while ensuring high‑quality output.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and learning‑focused environment.
  • Identify business development opportunities and support proposal preparation.
  • Stay updated on emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory changes affecting Malawi.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools and methodologies (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Chichewa is an advantage.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CRMA are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.

Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in risk advisory, internal audit, compliance or management consulting. Experience within regulated industries such as banking, mining, energy or telecommunications in Malawi or the broader Southern African region is preferred.

Salary

The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 4,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
