Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Broadcast Technician to oversee our complex transmission systems and studio equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all broadcast transmission equipment, including transmitters, antennas, and satellite links.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on studio audio and video consoles.
• Supervise the technical setup for live broadcasts, including remote news gathering and outside broadcasts.
• Monitor signal quality and troubleshoot technical faults to minimize downtime during live programming.
• Lead the integration of new digital broadcasting technologies and IP-based workflows.
• Maintain detailed technical logs and equipment inventory records.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize studio lighting, sound, and visual aesthetics.

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) engineering and signal propagation.
• Proficiency in operating digital video switchers, audio mixers, and non-linear editing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to complex electronic circuitry and networking hardware.
• Ability to work under extreme pressure during live broadcast windows.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of MPEG-4, DVB-T2, and other digital broadcast standards.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field from a recognized institution. Professional certifications in networking (CCNA) or specialized broadcast equipment are highly desirable.

Experience
