Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing division in Mzuzu. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with local and international suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
- Conduct rigorous supplier audits to ensure compliance with BASF’s global sustainability and safety standards.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate price fluctuations in raw chemical materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of essential components.
- Manage procurement budgets and provide detailed cost-saving reports to senior management.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related Engineering field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Proven experience in managing large-scale vendor relationships and complex supply chains is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications. This competitive package reflects the seniority and technical expertise required for the role.
