Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Mzuzu. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize the procurement of chemical raw materials and industrial equipment.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with local and international suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate potential risks in the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance against established KPIs to ensure quality and delivery timelines are met.
- Collaborate with the finance department to manage procurement budgets and ensure cost compliance.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to final delivery and payment.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related business field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industry. Proven experience in managing complex vendor relationships and navigating international logistics is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This package is competitive within the local market and reflects the seniority of the role.
