The Senior Mining Safety Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring that all mining operations in the Kasungu region adhere to international safety standards and local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits of mining sites to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and local mining safety laws.
- Develop and implement standardized auditing checklists and reporting frameworks for all extraction and processing units.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on all near-misses and significant safety incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) across various departments.
- Lead safety training workshops for site supervisors and field personnel to enhance hazard recognition.
- Collaborate with the environmental team to ensure integrated safety and environmental compliance.
- Prepare detailed monthly safety performance reports for the regional executive management team.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of personal protective equipment (PPE) and heavy machinery safety controls.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of mining safety regulations and international occupational health standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data and safety metrics.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in safety management software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite.

Education
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related technical field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH International Diploma or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.
Experience
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in safety auditing within the mining or heavy industrial sector is mandatory. Proven experience working in large-scale open-pit or underground mining operations is essential. Salary
