We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Aviation Safety Auditor to join our compliance team in Lilongwe. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits of aircraft maintenance and flight operations to ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
- Develop and implement detailed audit checklists and reporting frameworks for regional aviation hubs.
- Identify systemic risks in operational procedures and provide actionable recommendations for mitigation.
- Collaborate with local regulatory authorities to ensure all operations meet Malawi’s civil aviation requirements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports regarding audit findings and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor emerging safety trends and integrate best practices into existing safety management systems.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills for presenting audit findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to uncompromising safety standards.
- Proficiency in aviation safety management software and data analysis tools.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory. Professional certifications in Aviation Safety Auditing or Quality Management Systems (QMS) are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct experience in aviation safety auditing, quality assurance, or aircraft maintenance management within a large-scale international organization. Proven experience in regulatory compliance and risk assessment is essential for this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,500,000 SSP to 2,800,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the industry.
