Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Procurement Specialist to join our growing team in Mzuzu. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that we secure high-quality raw materials, chemicals, and industrial components at the most competitive prices while maintaining strict compliance with global sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure a continuous supply of critical chemical raw materials.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with international and local suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering departments to ensure material specifications meet technical requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance through rigorous auditing and KPI tracking.
- Implement sustainable procurement practices that align with BASF’s global environmental goals.
- Manage procurement budgets and provide detailed cost-saving reports to senior management.

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the chemical, manufacturing, or heavy engineering industries. Proven experience in managing large-scale supplier networks and complex international logistics is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
