The Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist will play a critical role in shaping the safety culture at our Blantyre manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems aligned with ISO standards.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards in the manufacturing and storage areas.
- Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of workplace accidents.
- Coordinate safety training programs for all staff members and contractors to ensure compliance with local laws.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure waste management protocols meet national and international standards.
- Collaborate with plant management to integrate safety considerations into all new engineering projects.

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety, specifically within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Proven experience in managing safety protocols for chemical processing or lubricant production is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who have successfully led safety audits and implemented large-scale safety management systems in complex industrial settings.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 1,800,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and technical expertise. This package is competitive within the local market for specialized engineering roles.
