Job Overview

The Corporate Treasury Analyst will join the Treasury Department to manage cash flow, liquidity, and risk mitigation for Standard Chartered Bank Malawi.   • Monitor daily cash balances, forecast short‑term liquidity needs, and ensure optimal cash utilization.
  • Execute foreign exchange transactions, manage currency exposure, and support hedging activities.
  • Prepare and analyse treasury reports, including cash flow statements, liquidity ratios, and risk metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess market, credit, and operational risks associated with treasury activities.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Basel III standards.
  • Assist in the development of treasury policies, procedures, and best‑practice frameworks.
  • Support senior treasury leadership in strategic planning, funding initiatives, and investment decisions.
  • Provide timely information to business units to facilitate informed financial decision‑making.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modelling and Excel.
  • Knowledge of treasury management systems (e.g., Kyriba, Murex) and banking platforms.
  • Understanding of foreign exchange markets, interest rate products, and liquidity management.

Education
