Job Overview
The Digital Twin Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of digital twin models for industrial clients across Malawi. This role bridges the gap between complex engineering systems and advanced digital platforms, enabling real‑time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end digital twin solutions for manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Integrate IoT sensors, data pipelines, and analytics platforms to ensure real‑time data fidelity.
- Develop simulation models, predictive algorithms, and visualization dashboards using Siemens’ MindSphere and NX platforms.
- Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives and pilot deployments, measuring ROI and performance metrics.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across project teams.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data governance policies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, CAD, and simulation tools (NX, Solid Edge, Simcenter).
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or JavaScript for data integration and analytics.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and edge computing architectures.
- Deep understanding of IoT protocols, OPC-UA, MQTT, and data streaming.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a strategic mindset for digital transformation.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder management.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in digital twin technologies, cloud services, or Siemens platforms are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying digital twin solutions in industrial settings. Prior exposure to the African market or emerging economies is a plus.
Salary
Competitive salary ranging from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
