Job Overview

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Baker Hughes’ oilfield equipment at client sites throughout the region. Key Responsibilities

• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls simultaneously.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in the oil & gas sector.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Malawi and occasional regional travel.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as API, ISO 9001, or H2S safety training are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of proven field service experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with exposure to both upstream and downstream equipment. Experience working in challenging environments and a track record of delivering high‑quality service are essential.

Salary
