Job Overview
The FinTech Product Manager will lead the design, development, and launch of cutting‑edge digital financial products tailored to the needs of Malawian consumers and businesses. Key Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for fintech solutions aligned with market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and user research to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into detailed specifications and user stories.
- Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery using agile methodologies.
- Work closely with compliance and risk teams to embed security and regulatory controls throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies, pricing models, and launch plans in partnership with marketing and sales.
- Monitor product performance post‑launch, analyze key metrics, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Serve as the primary product evangelist, presenting updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of fintech ecosystems, mobile banking, and digital payments.
- Proven experience in product management, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make data‑driven decisions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing financial services in Malawi.
- Agile project management experience and familiarity with tools such as JIRA or Trello.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in product management, fintech, or digital innovation are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years of product management experience in the financial technology sector, with a track record of successfully launching digital financial products. Experience working in emerging markets, particularly in Africa, is highly valued.
Salary
The annual salary range for this role is 1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
