Illovo Sugar Africa is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to manage production cost analysis and financial reporting for its manufacturing operations in the Mzuzu region. The role focuses on monitoring operational costs, improving cost efficiency, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

The Cost Accountant will collaborate with operations and finance teams to track production expenses, prepare financial reports, and maintain compliance with accounting regulations. This position requires strong analytical capabilities and experience in manufacturing finance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost analysis reports and financial statements

Monitor production costs and operational expenses

Maintain general ledger accounting records

Conduct variance analysis and cost control assessments

Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards

Support internal and external audit activities

Monitor cash flow and financial transactions
