Job Overview

DP World Malawi is hiring a Marine Logistics Coordinator to oversee the end‑to‑end coordination of cargo movements, vessel scheduling, and customs compliance for our inland logistics operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, and berth allocations in collaboration with port authorities and inland transport providers.
  • Manage cargo documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and freight invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor cargo status through the DP World Trade Management System, providing real‑time updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational issues such as delays, cargo damages, or customs holds, implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth cargo flow.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards in all maritime logistics activities.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, KPI dashboards, and operational forecasts for senior management.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime logistics, customs regulations, and inland freight operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or TMS platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.

Education

Salary
