Job Overview

The Minerals Processing Supervisor will lead a team of operators, technicians, and engineers responsible for the daily operation of the ore crushing, grinding, and flotation circuits. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the supervisor ensures that production targets are met while maintaining strict safety, quality, and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the processing plant crew to achieve production goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ore recovery, grade, and energy consumption, and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and audits.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Lead process optimization projects using data‑driven analysis and lean mining principles.
• Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
• Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mineral processing equipment, circuits, and control systems.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry) and data analysis tools.

Education
