Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Development Analyst will support the end‑to‑end development of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies to financial modeling and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects.
  • Develop detailed financial models, including cash flow projections, IRR, and NPV analyses.
  • Prepare project documentation, including feasibility reports, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, landowners, and community leaders to secure project permits and land use agreements.
  • Support the preparation of tender packages and evaluate bids from EPC contractors.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, and timelines, providing regular status updates to senior management.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure project viability.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to source new project opportunities and partnerships.

  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory frameworks in Malawi.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in project finance, sustainable energy, or related fields are considered an advantage.

Salary
