Job Overview

The Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our core network infrastructure. This position is vital for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our mobile and data services. You will be responsible for managing complex network architectures, troubleshooting high-level technical issues, and leading large-scale infrastructure upgrades. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize end-to-end telecommunications network architectures to support high-speed data and voice services.
  • Lead the deployment of new network technologies, including 4G/5G infrastructure and advanced IP backhaul solutions.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network outages and performance degradation.
  • Collaborate with regional technical teams to ensure seamless integration of new hardware and software components.
  • Monitor network performance metrics and implement proactive measures to ensure maximum uptime and service quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee the installation of equipment by third-party contractors.
  • Develop and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the core network.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in GSM, LTE, and emerging 5G technologies and protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of IP networking, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale technical deployments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities under high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

A Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent vendor-specific certifications are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications network engineering, specifically within a mobile network operator environment. Proven experience in managing large-scale network migrations and infrastructure upgrades is essential.

Salary
