We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainable Urban Planner to join our team in Lilongwe, Malawi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Government of Malawi in the development of sustainable urban planning policies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to the Government of Malawi in the development of sustainable urban planning policies and strategies
- Conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues in Malawi
- Develop and implement urban planning projects in collaboration with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector
- Build capacity of government officials and civil society organizations in urban planning
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of urban planning projects
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in urban planning
- Strong knowledge of urban planning principles and practices
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a team and build partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector
Education
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience
The successful candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in urban planning, with a strong background in sustainable urban planning principles and practices.
Salary
The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
