The Port Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing cargo flow, ensuring compliance with international shipping standards, and supporting the seamless movement of goods through the Zomba inland port hub. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze daily port activities, including vessel arrivals, cargo loading/unloading, and container movements.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards that track key metrics such as turnaround time, equipment utilization, and freight cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with customs officials to ensure timely clearance of goods while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks in the cargo handling process and propose data‑driven solutions to improve throughput.
• Prepare detailed operational reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of digital platforms for real‑time tracking and inventory management.
• Conduct regular audits of safety procedures, equipment maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and resolve service issues promptly.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at expanding Maersk’s service offerings in Malawi.
