Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of detailed engineering designs, construction schedules, and cost estimates for large‑scale projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is accurately executed on site.
  • Monitor project progress, conduct regular site inspections, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost‑control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management tools.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Primavera P6.

Education

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in construction project engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities. Experience working in the African construction market, particularly in Malawi or neighboring countries, is preferred.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and pension contributions in line with LafargeHolcim’s global remuneration framework.
