Job Overview
The Senior Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in our quality control department, ensuring that every batch of beverage produced meets our stringent safety and flavor profiles. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex chemical and microbiological analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Maintain and calibrate sensitive laboratory equipment to ensure precision in all testing procedures.
- Develop and implement new testing protocols to enhance quality assurance efficiency.
- Document all test results accurately and provide detailed reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Oversee compliance with local and international food safety standards and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate deviations in product quality and recommend corrective actions to the production team.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in titration, chromatography, and spectrophotometry.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and ISO quality management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Excellent technical writing skills for reporting and documentation.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Education
A Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline is mandatory. Professional certification in Quality Management or Food Safety is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a high-volume food or beverage laboratory is required. Proven experience in a senior or supervisory role within a manufacturing setting is essential for success in this position.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This competitive package reflects the high level of responsibility required.
