Job Overview
The Senior Laboratory Technician will play a critical role in our Quality Assurance department, ensuring that all raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods comply with international food safety standards and company specifications. This role is essential for maintaining the brand’s reputation for quality and consistency. You will be responsible for conducting complex chemical and microbiological analyses, managing laboratory equipment, and ensuring that all testing protocols are strictly followed. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, syrups, and finished beverages.
- Maintain and calibrate sensitive laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy in all test results.
- Document and report all analytical findings in accordance with ISO and HACCP standards.
- Monitor production line samples to ensure real-time compliance with quality specifications.
- Investigate deviations in product quality and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Oversee the management and inventory of laboratory reagents and consumables.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes through data-driven insights.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques including titration, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
- Strong understanding of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and HACCP principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in laboratory documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
Education
A Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline is mandatory. Professional certification in Quality Management or Food Safety is highly desirable.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting within the food or beverage manufacturing industry is required. Proven experience in a senior or supervisory capacity within a quality control laboratory is preferred.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and technical expertise.
