Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Occupational Health and Safety Officer to join our mining operations in Mchinji. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute site-specific health and safety management systems.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across mining sites and processing plants.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide expert guidance and training to site personnel on safety protocols.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and occupational health standards.
- Collaborate with site management to integrate safety into all operational workflows.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of international ISO safety standards and local regulatory frameworks.

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related Engineering discipline is mandatory. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a heavy industrial or mining environment. Proven experience in managing large-scale safety programs and leading diverse teams is essential for success in this role. Salary
