Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing youth-focused programs that promote education, leadership, and economic opportunities. The position is based in Ntcheu, a key hub for community development initiatives in central Malawi. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute youth development programs aligned with Save the Children’s global and local strategies.
  • Collaborate with schools, NGOs, and government agencies to expand educational access and vocational training.
  • Conduct needs assessments and monitor program outcomes to ensure measurable impact.
  • Provide mentorship and resources to youth for career development and entrepreneurship.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, including donors and community leaders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in youth development, education, or community engagement.
  • Strong project management and cross-sector collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and local languages.
  • Knowledge of Malawi’s educational landscape and youth challenges.
  • Proficiency in using data tools for program evaluation.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Experience

  • 3-5 years in youth development, education, or community engagement roles.
  • Experience working with NGOs or international organizations is advantageous.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,000,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
