Job Overview

The Environmental Conservation Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects in Mangochi, Malawi. This will involve working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify and address conservation needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation and experience working in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement conservation projects in Mangochi, Malawi
• Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify and address conservation needs
• Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects
• Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders
• Write reports and proposals to secure funding for conservation projects

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation
• Strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or related field
• Experience working in Africa
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field may be considered for candidates with significant experience in environmental conservation.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, with a strong background in conservation biology, ecology, or a related field. Experience working in Africa is highly desirable.

Salary

The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
