Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our specialized service team in Mchinji. This role is critical for ensuring the operational efficiency and longevity of our heavy-duty machinery used in large-scale construction and mining projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex hydraulic circuits, pumps, and cylinders. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic tests on hydraulic systems to identify leaks, pressure drops, or component failures.
- Repair and overhaul hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on heavy machinery to minimize downtime and prevent unexpected failures.
- Interpret technical schematics and hydraulic circuit diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with the field service team to ensure rapid response to client equipment failures.
- Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for all repairs and maintenance performed.
Required Skills
- Expertise in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
- Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, and testing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in remote field locations and under varying weather conditions.
Education
A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related technical discipline is required. Certification in specialized hydraulic systems training is highly advantageous.
Experience
Candidates must possess between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy hydraulic systems, preferably within the construction, mining, or agricultural machinery sectors.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,200,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical certifications.
