Job Overview

Malawi Telecommunications Corporation is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Kasungu-based IT Security team. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our digital infrastructure and protecting sensitive customer data. The ideal candidate will develop and implement security protocols to defend against cyber threats while supporting our mission to provide secure, reliable telecommunications services across Malawi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security breaches
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Respond to security incidents with rapid mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security solutions
  • Provide cybersecurity training to staff and stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection systems)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education
